[Video] Parts For This Equipment Tab

In this video, you'll discover the history of the Parts For This Equip tab, how it was originally used and how it can be used now.

I did not mention it in the video but you can also hide this tab and any other unused tabs by going to

Tools->Simplify TATEMS

And then un-checking the tabs you want to hide.

You can also see the Parts For This Equip related reports by going to

Reports->More Reports->Report Type: Parts Installed

There is also the quick report for this tab for the currently selected piece of equipment under

Reports->Current Equipment Reports->Parts Report

Information from this tab is also included in the Unit Information Reports With All Equipment Data under

Current Equipment Reports

and

All Equipment Reports

It is also one of the choices for totals to be included in the Cost Per Mile/Km / Hour Report under

Reports->All Equipment Reports

And you will also find some custom spreadsheets that will pull data from the Parts For This Equip tab here

TATEMS Fleet Maintenance Software Custom Spreadsheets

When you get to that page you can press F3 on your keyboard to search the keyword “PartsForThis” without the quotes but all run together just like that.

At the time of this post, the following spreadsheets have Parts For This Equip Tab data that you can pull from your live TATEMS database.

42. TATEMSPartsForThisEquipTotalForEachYear

44. TATEMSPartsForThisEquipNumberOfTimesPartNumberUsedAndCost

132. TATEMS-PartsForThisEquipWithAllColumns

How To Remove Extra Backups From Special Backup Folder

This video shows you how to find and remove the extra backups that are created in the special backup folder.

WARNING: Make sure you are in the correct folder called “tatems2005beBackup” before you delete anything!

When you create backups in TATEMS you can choose where to save the backup.

In addition to the location that you choose, TATEMS also creates an extra backup that it saves it to a special folder called “tatems2005beBackup” .

Once that special folder called “tatems2005beBackup”  has 30 backups saved to it, you will start seeing a message telling you that you may want to clean out some of the older backups.

I hope this video has been helpful to you!

Thanks Again,

Marc

New Video for TATEMS Version 4.6.26.011

The video below shows you the new features added to TATEMS version 4.6.26.011 released Mar 22, 2019

This includes a huge time saver, that allows you to edit a work order from the Parts Inventory Screen instead of the old way of having to:

1. Note the Equipment Number Note
2. Note the Work Order Number
3. Close the Parts Inventory Screen
4. Go find the equipment
5. Find the work order
6. Then open the work order for editing.

Now… instead of doing all that, you can just double click on the Work Order in “Where This Part Installed List” on the Parts Inventory Screen

You can get always the latest update here:

Video – TATEMS Auto Resizing Coming to 4.6.24v Explained

UPDATE: Version 4.6.24v was released on Oct 1, 2018.

The current update is available here:

In the video below I show you the new Auto Resizing feature we are adding to TATEMS starting with version 4.6.24v (scheduled for release the first week of October 2018)

You may want to go to full screen on the above video to get a better feel for this cool new feature.

This feature is may cause instability of TATEMS on some systems causing unannounced shutdowns of TATEMS in which case you would need to keep the Auto Resizing feature turned off.

We will continue to make improvements to this feature in order to mitigate any instability issues people experience after version 4.6.24v is released.

The feature will be turned off by default.

Video Using Excel 2016 to Link TATEMS Fleet Maintenance Software Spreadsheets

You can use this video as a guide for to help you link the other over 120 custom spreadsheets we have created for you here:

Fleet Maintenance Software Spreadsheets

In the video, I also show you a failed attempt at trying to get Excel 2016 to act like older versions of Excel using the data Legacy options.

I'll keep experimenting with that and post something when and if I can show how to do what I wanted to do.
